What is Midjourney
Midjourney is a very popular computer tool. It helps people make pictures from text. You type words into a chat window, and the computer draws a picture for you. The tool lives inside a chat app called Discord. You do not need to install a heavy program on your computer. You just open the chat and start typing.
Many artists and designers use this tool. You do not need to know how to paint or draw. You only need good ideas. You write down what you want to see in the picture. For example, you can ask for a cat wearing a red hat in space. The computer reads your words and makes the picture in less than a minute. This makes it fun for everyone to create art.
The company behind this tool works hard to make the pictures look good. The art style can look very real. It can also look like an oil painting or a cartoon. People use these pictures for books, games, and websites. The tool is always getting updates to make the pictures look even better.
To use Midjourney, you need an account. You go to their official website to sign up. After you join, you get access to the chat rooms where the drawing happens. You can see what other people are making too. This helps you learn how to write better text prompts for your own pictures.
How to Use the Tool
Using Midjourney is simple once you know the steps. First, you need a free account on Discord. Then, you visit the main website and click the join button. This brings you to the main chat group. Inside the chat, you will see many rooms for making art.
To start making a picture, you type a special command in the chat box. You type slash imagine, and then you type your description. You can describe anything you want. You can describe a sunset over the ocean, a futuristic city, or a cute dog. After you press enter, the computer takes about one minute to create four small picture options for you.
When you see the four pictures, you can choose the one you like best. The chat gives you buttons to make that picture bigger. You can also ask the computer to make more pictures that look like the one you picked. If you do not like the result, you can change your text and try again.
Learning how to write good text prompts takes a little practice. You can start with simple words. Later, you can add details about lighting, colors, and camera angles. Many users share their tips online to help beginners learn faster.
Plans and Pricing
Midjourney offers different plans for users. When you first join, you might get a free trial to test the tool. After the trial ends, you need to buy a monthly plan to keep making pictures. The website has a few payment options depending on how much you plan to use the tool.
The basic plan gives you a set amount of fast drawing time each month. If you make many pictures every day, you might need a bigger plan. The higher plans give you more hours and extra features. For example, higher plans let you work in private so other people cannot see your pictures in the main chat.
You can pay for your plan using a credit card or other payment methods listed on the site. If your needs change, you can change your plan or cancel it at any time through your account page. The company makes sure your payment information stays safe.
People who use the pictures for business often choose the professional plans. These plans give them full rights to use the art for commercial products. Always check the rules on the website to make sure you pick the right plan for your needs.
Community and Rules
The Midjourney community is very large and active. Millions of people use the tool every day. You can see all the public creations on the main website feed. People share their ideas and talk about art in the chat rooms.
There are rules you must follow when using the tool. You cannot make pictures that hurt other people or show bad things. The company wants the tool to be safe and fun for everyone. If someone breaks the rules, they can lose their account.
Being part of the community helps you learn new tricks. You can look at what other people typed to get their results. This is a great way to improve your own picture ideas. People are usually very kind and happy to help beginners in the chat.
The creators also listen to feedback from the community. They update the tool based on what users want. This teamwork helps make the service better month after month.
